News - Feb. 2011Trentham District Football/Netball Club had a good attendance at their annual general meeting and have formed a strong and progressive committee with the main focus on providing a supportive family based club. Our main focus is to provide our local youth the opportunity to continue to play sport in our community. 2011 is going to provide a greater opportunity with the introduction of Under 13's Netball and an Under 15's Football team. We play in the Maryborough Castlemaine League and the Trentham Sportsground is our home base where we play every fortnight. There are six grades of Netball. U13's, U15's U17's C Grade, B Grade and A Grade. TDF/NC are thrilled that Mia Kelly is continuing on as our U15's coach. Taking on a coaching role whilst studying at the latter end of high school is an amazing commitment for Mia to take on. We require coaches for all other grades of netball and would be pleased to hear from anyone interested in any coaching roll to call club President Troy Adams on 0425389315. We would also like to invite any new players along to training. Everyone most welcome. Trentham football will field 4 teams beginning with U15's, U17's, Reserves and seniors. Dale Cowell has been appointed as our senior coach. Dale brings some fresh new ideas and family values to the club. Owen Sundblom has taken on the roll of U17's coach and Barry Maher has taken on the U15's. Both Owen and Barry have a great knowledge of the game and all players will be given an equal opportunity.
