Wombat Forestcare

Wombat Forestcare  is a local community group dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural ecosystems of the Wombat Forest and surrounding areas.
Wombat Forestcare engages in a range of activities. These have a strong focus on community involvement and education, and include undertaking flora and fauna surveys, forest regeneration, and seed collection days. We also enjoy the social aspect of a forest group, with picnics and bushwalks for people who love being in the bush.

Trentham Sustainability Group

Trentham Sustainability Group (TSG) was formed in February 2008, following a well-attended public forum on Global Warming.  TSG is auspiced by Trentham Neighbourhood Centre.  Membership is open to everyone with an interest in sustainable living.  Meetings and other activities are held monthly but dates vary - check the Trentham Trumpet or with contacts below - we'd love to see you.

Our projects include - Sustainable Housing; Future Food & Farming-Keeping it Local; String Bag/Plastic Bag Free; Waste Management and Local Renewable Energy.  TSG hosts Community Conversations, Guest Speakers and Film Nights ... to learn from one another and be inspired.

In 2012 the Sustainability Group produced a "sustainable house" brochure, downloadable here.
